WELCOMING THE CREWS: from Tuesday, July 8th to Sunday, July 13th.
-schedules: 9 AM to 10 PM except on July 13th, from 9 AM to 7 PM.
-location: La Carène, organisation headquarters. (see crews’ plan)
ACCESS TO BREST 2008
-by sea: through the East and South fairways of the commercial harbour. HQ’s boats will hand out a voucher that will allow you to withdraw your “crew package” and your registration numbers from “La Carène”. HQ may be reached on VHF canal 5.
All vessels will get their final mooring berth on July 10th AM, either on the Penfeld or in the castle’s marina.
-by land: all vessels will be put to sea in the “Moulin Blanc” marina, follow the directions to “Brest-ports, Océanopolis”. Once there, signs will direct you to your assigned slipway. Brest 2008’s teams will welcome you there and give you the voucher that will allow you to withdraw your “crew package” and registration number from “La Carène”. Your boat trailers can be left in a guarded parking area.

HAND-OUT OF CREW PACKAGES AT LA CARENE
You will be given your registration number, pennant, crew package and special welcome gift in exchange of your voucher, and on presentation of the vessel’s deed of sale and insurance certificate. The crew packages contain all information about your stay in Brest (programme, useful information, etc…)

MOORING PLAN
Your mooring zone has been e-mailed to you. We have done our best to organize those zones according to your vessels’ broad categories so that visitors will find it easier to understand our maritime world: please do respect those mooring areas!
WATCH OUT!
-the vessels anchored along the Southern jetty of the commercial harbour ( zone 2.4J on the plan), as well as those anchored in the 2.4I zone have to obey special constraints regarding safety regulations linked to the July 11th and july 14th fireworks. Information about schedules and changes of mooring places for the vessels concerned will be given at “La Carène”.
-a shuttle service will be organized from 8 AM to 2 AM the following night during the whole event to get access to land from your anchored vessels..
The use of private dinghies is not allowed for safety reasons.
Boat identification
Your registration number and pennant should be made visible on your vessel during the whole festival. They will enable you to come and go through the commercial harbour freeways without any trouble.
